Do I have to register in case I would like to climb?
You do not need to register, you can come anytime during our opening hours. To make your very first entry faster please register in our system from home or on your way to the gym at user.gravitybudapest.com.
Why do I have to register in the system?
You accept our terms and condition, the liability statement, along with the GDPR statement by doing the registration. This is required upon your very first entry, later on the entrance to the gym is a lot faster and we will be able to see if you have an entrance pass or a training pass. With this account that you create with the registration you will be able to apply for our training courses and our competitions, furthermore you can check the balance of your passes.
What shall I bring for the first climbing session?
Bring comfy sports wear which is not tight so that you can lift your legs high and move comfortably. Our gym is tempered at 21-22 degrees, you will not be cold. Bring your own climbing shoes and chalk bag, in case you do not have any, you can rent these at the reception. Lockers are available in the fully equipped changing rooms, keys will be given at the reception. You can also try our sauna after climbing :)
Wearing climbing shoes is a requirement?
Yes, in case we have the necessary size (30-47). If you wear smaller or bigger shoes, we kindly ask you to be prepared with indoor, clean, rubbery shoes.
Do I need a belayer?
Our gym is a boulder gym. This means that the walls are 4-4,5m high and underneath a thick (30cm thick, developed for this purpose) matress protects climbers against injuries. Belaying is therefore not necessary, you can climb alone in full freedom. We advise you to practice the drops/jumps, but do not start it from the top of the wall!
Do I have to apply for the training courses?
It is recommended. You can apply through our registration page, you can also apply at the reception upon arrival, however, in case the training course is full, those can participate, who primarily applied for the course online.
